why use an advisor?

Common questions:
How is your information better than what I find on Claude, Open AI, and other AI platforms?
-
As a member of a travel advisor community, I have access to good information from other travelers, from other advisors, and from my own experience. AI is useful, but is best supplemented with insider knowledge. Also, some trips require multiple hotels, entry passes, local knowledge, or other help from an industry expert.
How do your rates compare to what I can book?
-
Rates are very nuanced. The rates I find often can't be found through normal channels. Certain platforms only work with advisors. Additionally, I can offer a better experience and definitely more value than booking on your own. Perks, better rooms, upgrades, just to name a few things I can get you that your credit card can't.

I really like to plan my own travel. How can you help me with that?
-
I began this business because I love planning travel too. I will be happy to go down the rabbit hole with you or for you. Each trip I plan is bespoke and so is the way I work with each client. And, during those inevitable travel hiccups, I am your advocate. My job is not finished after you book your trip. I'm not just an advisor, I'm a problem solver.
three ways we can work together
An adventure in travel can get us out of our comfort zone, but you should not be uncomfortable. Thoughtful planning is essential to creating a seamless experience, and the earlier we begin, the more refined and enjoyable your journey will be. That said, it's never too late to start. I am experienced in working within time constraints to design exceptional trips.

My goal is to ensure every journey feels like a well-deserved retreat - not a rushed or hectic experience. Careful preparation means you can relax, explore, and truly enjoy the moment.

The Hotel
Curated Selection
As a member of the FORA community, I have access to an outstanding list of curated and advisor reviewed properties. You might find a bottle of champagne, a $100 credit for your stay, a free upgrade, complimentary late check out.

As a member of my travel community, you can now book hotels thought this unique link. You'll get the same follow through and service on my end, but you get to see all the selections available. (Never booked with me? No problem. Click here.)

Still prefer a curated list rather than booking on your own? No problem! I love that part too!

The Trip
Curated Trip Collection
My most popular request. Not only will I book your hotels, but I will also research and present to you a thoughtful list of tourist attractions, restaurants, and other places of interest at your destination. These places will be mapped in a Google map. This plan is ideal for travelers who like a free-flowing holiday and not a lot of structure.

The Journey
Curated and Effortless
Not only will you get all the benefits of 'The Trip' design, I will also curate and book restaurants, spa services, side trips, trains, anything that is best booked ahead of time in your destination. This service is ideal for those who like a planned and structured trip or for those going to popular places that require advanced bookings. Your itinerary will be based on your desired activity level and will come in digital form so you have all booking confirmations at your fingertips. No more digging through emails. Are you planning a group trip or a special celebration? This elevated service allows me to take care of ALL the details for you.

"Amy is a curator of experiences~ she knows that visiting a new place, or returning to a beloved place is about layering moments that balance adventure & discovery with relaxing and savoring time with those you are traveling with. She appreciates opportunities to take in the historical and cultural stories of the place & people you are visiting, as much as the sights so you come away with a new perspective along with your wonderful travel memories! "

"Upon communicating what this trip was about (two longtime friends visiting Charleston to catch up, shop and to see the sites), Amy jumped into action. Upon learning our “have to haves” and “nice to haves”, along with our planned budget, Amy delivered! In addition to providing several hotel options, she introduced us to the Fulton Lane Inn, where we chose to stay. Additionally, Amy provided an interactive map of Charleston’s historical sites, dining options and shopping. All options were delivered promptly and without pressure. Amy made our room reservations and worked with the Fulton Lane Inn to ensure a fun, hassle-free stay. I can confidently recommend working with Amy Sahely when planning your future travels."

"This was my first time using a trip planner, and Amy and the entire experience far exceeded my expectations! We enjoyed so many amazing activities that I can’t list them all, but highlights include our charming hotel in Cusco, hiking part of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, partaking in a traditional Andean Pachamanca lunch, and two local cultural experiences. Amy’s management of every detail—from hotel and restaurant bookings to coordinating curated hikes, train travel, and luggage storage—was completely seamless. Having a guide, transportation, and a pre-arranged itinerary for much of the trip eliminated the stress of daily decision making, yet we still had time for independent exploring and shopping. Amy clearly leverages her extensive personal travel background and has a true gift for planning. If you are looking for help with your next trip, I would not hesitate to call her! "

"What an amazing trip thanks to Amy! Our group of 4 experienced an epic journey through a magical country that perfectly balanced adventure, physical challenge, cultural immersion, and meaningful time with friends. It was the kind of experience that reminded me each day why travel is so rewarding. Beyond the adventure itself, I really appreciated the opportunity to learn — not just about the destination’s history and culture, but also through conversations with our local guide who was so attentive to our group’s need and curiosities. Overall, it was more than just a trip with friends — it was an experience that combined connection, learning, and adventure in a way that left a lasting impact."

WOW I loved Peru, the countryside, the people, the culture, and the stunning mountains. We booked a small group trip with Amy wanting to see Cusco and Machu Picchu and we got to see so much more. The local guide was thoughtful and knowledgeable about the history and culture all around us. We spent time in Cusco getting acclimated to the altitude and learning more about the history and culture all around us. This made our time in the Sacred Valley visiting Moras, Moray, Winay Wayna, and Machu Picchu more meaningful. And while our trip was definitely action packed we had several activities that allowed us to slow down, enjoy a meal, meet locals and enjoy the scenery. Our small hotel in Cusco, the Rumi Punku, was like our home away from home with quick and easy laundry, tasty breakfasts, and a very attentive staff. If you are looking for a travel agent who will do the research AND listen to what you want, Amy is the perfect travel agent!
